Submission Guidelines

Thank you for considering The Reservoir Journal as a home for your work. Keep in mind you must be a student of Scituate High School to submit to The Res. Before you submit, please read the guidelines below.

1. We accept art (digital art, photos of art pieces), photography, fiction (under 2,500 words), creative nonfiction, and poetry. â€‹

2. Writers may submit one piece per genre, with the exception of poetry; 1-3 poems may be submitted by the same writer. Include all poems in the same document, beginning a new page for each poem.

3. Submissions will be read blind. Please do not include any identifying information on the work itself.

4. We prefer submissions in pdf form, but word or Google documents are also accepted.

5. Please format your pieces as you would like them to appear on the page. (Ex: If you want funky spacing in your poetry, please make the spacing funky in the piece you submit, so we can transfer the funkiness here.)

Any questions about submissions can be addressed to the Editors. To contact your editor, please write to thereservoirjournal@gmail.com. In the subject line, identify the genre about which you are inquiring. Address your email to the appropriate Editor: â€‹
